A supporters’ pack with ideas and advice to help those working within facilities management mark World FM Day is now available to download from the BIFM website.
The pack contains everything those who support the delivery FM services need to take part in the international awareness day on 17 May, as well as help raise awareness of the vital work that facilities management professionals and the facilities management industry contributes to business and the economy worldwide.
Among other things it includes awareness and fundraising ideas, information sheets on organising ‘back to the floor’ or ‘lunch and learn’ sessions to promote the role of FM in the workplace. It also provides social media guidance as well as poster and case study templates, a branded email signature and electronic sticker and pre-written presentation slides.
Will Bowen, chairman of the BIFM World FM Day Taskforce, said: “In previous years, the British Institute of Facilities Management has been instrumental in galvanising support for World FM Day from across the globe.
“This year, we have tried to build on previous successes by creating a supporters’ pack that aims to provide ideas and tools for FM professionals to help them reach out and spread the word about World FM Day. Whether you are a sole in-house FM professional, or part of a team within a large FM service provider on a national or international basis, we hope there will be something for you all to take inspiration from.”
The theme for World FM Day 2017 is ‘Enabling Positive Experiences’, with celebrations and events planned to bring the FM community together to highlight the significant role facilities management plays in enabling positive customer, client and employee experience in all sectors, whether it is residential, leisure, entertainment, retail, education, healthcare or any other.
It is an opportunity to promote global knowledge sharing, discuss and share experiences both good and challenging, promote the FM profession and celebrate successes.
